  Dear Addison,

     The very first time I laid eyes on you it was like the world stop moving, your daddy took me in to see you and oh how dearly it was.  You're were so perfect in every way even the little true tears running down you face, Aunt B just wanted to pick you up and make every thing better.  I will never forget the first time I got to hold you, it was like a little miracle appeared and when you looked at me oh how my heart melted. I was so in love with you I could just sit and hold you all day and tell you stories. Today is the 16th and tomorrow you have already been with us for a week how time flies. I just want you to know little stinker that Aunt B has a special place in my heart that has your name on it.  I nicknamed you little stinker because you were hard for your precious mommy to deliver you and so thats why you are Aunt B's  little stinker.  I Love you so very much you just don't know.

I will add the story soon of her birth. From what I gathered it was one heck of a roller coaster and Amy was amazing! Smokey was also a trooper!

I stopped by early on August 10th and dropped off the famous pink cigars for Smokey to hand out to celebrate. As I was walking out of the hospital, I ran into Aunt Brandi. Imagine my surprise that she had found the biggest pink stuffed animal! Aunt B loves her some Addison

Favorite is that Mimi would not let me hold you so I would not wake you at first. Be prepared to be rocked a lot and loved even more!

The Night Before

Well the time is almost here to watch our children bring their own child into this world. The circle of Life is pretty amazing and another baby to love, God truly is Great! It was just last Christmas when we learned that Amy and Smokey were with child. We can honestly say that little Miss Addison has been in our hearts 9 months. Although I didn't have my grandparents when I was little, I know that all the grandparents will be a huge part of this child's life and she will always know that she is LOVED. Welcome to our family baby Addison Lynn Johnston, we can't wait to touch you and feel your skin next to ours. Love you, Mimi, Papa and Aunt B

Almost here

Finally the day has come. So many people are so excited and just don't know what to do with themselves. August 9, they decided to start the inducing procedure and if all goes as planned, Addison will join us in the morning. Finally!

Our precious baby girl, Addison, okay MiMi must admit she is not very good at waiting...nine months seems like an eternity.  I dream of the day you will make your entry into this world, and the joy on your Mommy and Daddy's faces.  Seems like your Daddy was a little boy just the other day, and now he is a big strong man, who will always watch over you. Maybe a little too much! But he will always protect you, and keep you safe, because you will be the light of his life. He is ready.  Your mother, well for sure she was always meant to be a loving wife and mother.  She dearly loves children and they love her and goodness she has waited such a very long time for you!  She is a wonderful lady with a very loving heart and she has so much love to give you.  She will give you all she has to give because you will be the dearest person in her life, other than your daddy of course.  What a very lucky little girl you are going to be!

I want you to also know that although your Grandpa Earl, Grandma Kitty and Nannie Jo  are in Heaven right now, they will be the loving angels watching over you, they  would have so loved to be here to share your life too.  Just know that Papa, MiMi, Aunt B, and Papa Jo will be here for you anytime you need us.  We will always want to protect and love you.  I cannot wait for your Gammie Jackie and I to share this awesome experience together.  Although I never knew any of my grandparents, you are very fortunate, you will be blessed to have many grandparents.  Our families are ready for celebrations and joy. And your MiMi has piles of books ready to read to you, and ideas for things we can do and games we can play together one day. Dreams of who you are and who you will be and even the joy of watching your daddy as he discovers "so, this is what life is all about and you will have a place in his heart forever and ever!"

You haven't even arrived yet and yet we talked about you almost daily and dream and make plans.  Please know that you have given us a new purpose and we are so ready for this stage of our lives.  I cannot wait for you to meet our extended family, Chelette, John, Jaden Thomas and Charleigh, God put Chelette and the Austin family in our lives long ago for a reason and they mean the world to us.  So you will have more great people to surround you with hugs and kisses!

So Addison, my favorite saying is to Live Well, Laugh Often and Love Much and that is exactly how I pray you live your life, that you always surround yourself with the people that love you and will help you grow into a beautiful young lady, just like your mom.

Dear Addison,

   This is you Aunt B I  can't wait to see your beautiful face and hold you in my arms.  I want you to know you are a very blessed little girl already.  So many people are already in love with you especially your momma and daddy. I just hope that I will be the best aunt I can possible be. I don't drive or have kids but I can give you so much loving and support, One day I recieved a card from your cousin Jaden and the card said "you are like a big kid trap in a adult body", you will find out what that means as you get older. I love you so much Addison and I'm so very Blessed you are in my life.
